Is curing the curse also from Master Kip?I ran around completing the Vampiric rebels quest only to discover it had no effect on "the curse" and no pet.
Master Kip clearly has another quest but it is red, so I can't see what it is.

From something that i read you have to complete both the Ring quest and the Curing the Curse quest however i may be wrong, unfortunately i haven't got any toons high enough to do Curing the Curse and my Main did keeping the curse (Not worth it imo :/, unless they gave bats the ability to fly

Sorry to reply so late, in my experience bat form really isn't that great its 5 minutes of levitation that can only be used once a day at night, so yes it would appear curing is the preferred method (Had i known it was exclusive i would have been inclined to choose a different path)Milthuran
Well I "cured" the curse, and I have to say the fairy pet is very cute (especially the mischievous giggle), but it would be nice if she actually did something useful. Currently she seems to just run up to mobs and then do nothing at all (like Zhara said). Someone said she's supposed to be attack & also heal, so hopefully that'll get fixed.I met someone who had the bat form the other day and I was impressed, the bat is much bigger than I expected and as he said the lev is useful over water.
And both bat form & the warrior of light abilities seem to be usable multiple times (in as single day or night) at the moment. Frankly if the fairy's not going to do anything it might as well be toggled on or off without a time limit, for novelty value if nothing else.

We camped the dining room (hitting the caretaker too) all night tonight on our 2nd trio (25 shm/nec/ranger) and had a blast. The ooze dropped a very nice set of rare melee medium armor leggings for the wife's ranger, which I'll add to the guide some time soon. Also, we noticed the caster rings from the talfyn book pages quest have been changed from +1 energy regen to +7.It's still a real challenge for us not only breaking the dining room, but holding it and keeping up with the spawns. I still kill the necro about half the time I break the room. Not the best experience at 25, but the item drops more than make up for it. Butler dropped 3 shields for us tonight - they sell as fast as we put them up.
I'm glad that people are finding the guide useful. We just love this dungeon. Seems like everyone we take there comes away happy, with several gear upgrades. I wish all the dungeons in Vanguard were this well itemized!

any idea where to get the quests for all the items that keep falling in here? I keep looting black blood, rotting flesh, and a few other items that say quest item
