HiI'm having great trouble, finding some good spots to lvl my Mining skill. I'm currently at abaout 230, adv. 25 (DK). I mean, there are no mobs that can be harvested for iron (as opposed to quarrying and lumberjacking) and there seem to be very little places wirh some decent Iron-node density..very often they seem to change into tin nodes after a while of harvesting them...anybody has any good idea?

On thestra, on the road between 3 Rivers and Southwatch Iron is abundant in the foothills near the mountains, If you harvest stone it is also there too.Grack
north of misthaven there is a fork in the road, take the left fork (west). you come to a tower and a village to the south of that. Just west of that village is a spider cave. around the spider cave are iron nodes and inside is a PLETHERA of iron and sandstone nodes.That was the best area to mine for me. You have to fight your way in there, but for a lev 25 dk you should be able to solo 2-3 spiders at a time with no problem. You get a few good drops and the sellable loot makes ya some decent cash too. There is one named spider in there that always drops a half-way decent blue item.

most harvest span points always alternate between two tiers, so you just have to clear the tin and hope on the next pass that its iron. If you don't you could end up with all the spawn points being tin rather than iron.Graye
There is a spider pit, near Donnovan's Roost in the Coterie Infineum Sacntum area on Qalia. The spiders are level 20ish, it is jam packed with Sandstone and Iron. Very Very rarely is there a tin or slate spawn.
