Twas the night before raiding, when all through the guild
Not a creature was stirring, not a single axe was being wield,
The swords were hung by the forge with care,
In hopes that some enchanting blacksmith soon would be there;
The trolls were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of insane blood mages danced in their heads;
And Tandy in her 'cloak, and I in my pristine cap,
Had just settled down for a short pre-raid nap,
When out on the road there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the cot to see what was the matter.
Away to the front door I flew like a flash,
Slipped and ripped the hinges off as the result of my mad dash.
The moon shown off the skulls of the zombies like of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day (with gamma correction) to objects below,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But an ugly old gnome in a caravan with a ban stick tucked behind his ear,
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be the one and only, Glip.
More rapid than Griffins his posters they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;
"Now, PimpDaddy! now, Drizzty565! now, Pantier and HwwtVixen!
On, Newm33t! on Cupidme! on, Disasteor and ImaBlitzen!
To the top of the forums! You’re driving me over the top of the wall!
Now go away! Use the search function, before I ban you all!"
As dry leaves that before the wild moderator fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,
So off to forums the coursers they flew,
Dragging their questions, and poor Glip too.
(my apologies to Glip, he really is a patient mod)
