I've never had an issue with the bag. Are you sure your not trying to equip the saddlebags in the normal slot? As those go in the slot all the way to the left.The first one is the messenger bag which goes into any of the backpack slots. The saddle bag is the first one the next 3 are backpack and the last is your normal inv.

I'll check again but I'm fairly certain the type listed on the item was Diplomacy Container. I think it was 12 slots and I currently have it equipped in one of my three "backpack" slots next to my adv inventory bag. That's the only place I've found that will accept it. I've not bought a horse yet, haven't made the trek from Tanvu to where the horse vendor is. (Don't get me started on the 'no horse vendor in Tanvu' decision).Lilshas
i have the same thing on my gnome, it is a 12slot container and fits in a normal container slot, not on in my diplomacy inventory, i did the quest for the one that goes in the diplomacy inventory and that one works fine, so i put all my hersay, rumors etc in that and just use the other one like a normal 12 slot bag.Girazze
Mine is actually called a "Courier Container" and it looks just like a "Diplomacy Container" but won't fit in the diplomacy slot. Trying to find a diplomacy bag myself on Qalia or Thestra.Lilshas
the only place that I know of to get a diplo containter that goes in the diplo slot in your diplomacy character sheet is the one talked about here in Tawar Galanacspam
I have the same problem with the 'courier container'. I have bags of 14 slots so I havent equipped it anywhere, but I agree that it looks like it should go next to the shoulder slot in the container slot.
