Quest Steps

Step 1 - Get Quest

To the right of the stairs and around the corner is Specter of Tsang's Advisor. Pick up the quest from him.

Step 2 - Kill Dawntail

This part is a bit tricky due to the Dawntail spawn bug detailed in my bug report below. Basically what you want to do is run north all the way to the north beach, but do not actually go onto the beach until you're ready to fight. Right when you actually see the Jin'Ka Strand name text pop up, Dawntail will spawn somewhere close to the water and immediate engage you. You must make sure you do not leave the strand or enter the water until Dawntail is dead. If you do, another copy of Dawntail will spawn and more will continue to spawn as you cross out of and back into the Strand. It can be really annoying.

I kite soloed Dawntail on my lv 22 Druid with lv 20 skills without too much trouble, although I had to keep a second copy of Dawntail snared cause I got a dupe.

Kill one of the Dawntail copies, and you will get a quest complete notice.

If you get too many Dawntails, you can run and they will leash. They have a pretty quick despawn rate. At that time you can go back into the strand, and a new copy of Dawntail will spawn for you.

Step 3 - Turn In Quest

Go back to the Specter of Tsang's Advisor, and turn in the quest.
