NPCs Constable Captori You blurt out, "Constable, I just witnessed a murder." Constable Captori holds her weapon defensively. "Slow down there. What did you see, exactly?" You say, "I saw someone kill Inventor Niro Gavea in the alley back there." Constable Captori says, "What were you doing back in the alley with Niro Gavea?" You say, "I was trying to find him. Listen, I'm an I-4 agent. I was trying to protect him." Constable Captori peers at you. "I've never seen you in I-4. What's your name?" You get annoyed. " (Your name) . Now listen, the murderer ran off toward the center of town." Constable Captori asks, "Well, what did he or she look like?" You say, "Well, dark clothes, probably black, I couldn't tell if they were male or female, but definitely a gnome." Constable Captori says, "Of course you couldn't tell what they looked like. It's quite suspicious that you would be following Niro Gavea, and then he would wind up dead." You sigh, "Listen, I've been working undercover for I-4. I questioned some of the apprentices down at the Institute of Wizardry and spoke with Headmaster Uebatix. He indicated that Gavea had headed to Thetaton Square." Constable Captori examines your words and says, "I plan on speaking to Uebatix. How did you track down Gavea?" You say, "Xibbite's kids tipped me off. They saw him walk into the back alley with someone. Ask them who I am. I gave them candy, and I'm fairly certain the other person didn't. Plus, they might be able to identify the murderer." Constable Captori ponders this and says, "Alright, (your name) , you've got me convinced. I'll talk to Uebatix and the Xibbite kids and have some constables examine Gavea's body, as well as the murder scene." You sight with relief. "Well, I'm not going to say that I-3 isn't thorough in their line of questioning ever again. If only more of them were as scrutinizing as you, Captori." Constable Captori smiles, saying, "Don't act like I-4 is so high and mighty, (your name) . I could still arrest you as a suspect if I wanted, but I figure we need to work on inter-Institute relations." Quest Completion Constable Captori says, "Sorry for the line of questioning there, (your name) ." "Now we have some idea of what is happening to those missing people. I hate to say it, but this stinks of some sort of Ulabenian plot. I just never thought he'd stoop so low as to assassinate civilians."
