Meet with Lo Ke the Fate Render

Travel southeast down the path out of Tentree's Farmstead toward the Bamboo Grove Meeting spot marked in your quest journal. You will find it at /loc 42054, 67183, 2886. There you will see Lo Ke the Fate Render and some veteran soldiers. Parley with Lo Ke the Fate Render. Return to Shui Redwine to complete the quest.

Quest Offering Shui says, "I appreciate your help thus far, <name>. When you learned about Lo Ke the Fate Render from Lieutenant Redmist, I managed to secure a meeting with him through some exchanged letters. I'm relying on you. I will have some of the Sun Village warriors at the meeting place hidden to protect you in case the meeting goes poorly." He shakes his head. "I won't lead you astray though. This is dangerous, and your safety is not guaranteed. If you accept this, know the risks." Shui hands you a slip of paper. "The location of the meeting is here. Be careful." Lo Ke the Fate Render Lo Ke gives you a nod. "You're the one the humans sent? An outsider. "Amusing." He gives a condescending, toothy smile. You bow your head politely, ignoring the barbs. "Lo Ke the Fate Render, am I correct? I am (your name) . I am here to negotiate a stop to these attacks." His smile widens. "Of course you are. That murderer you sent after us who stalks and kills us around the Earth Den is certainly an act of peace." You raise an eyebrow. "Neither Tentrees nor the Sun Village sanctioned anything like that. I'm sure you cannot blame people for being aggressive after your attacks on their homes." "Such arrogance," he laughs. "Is that what those fools told you? That priest of theirs, Iku Dai, caused our brothers and sisters to go mad. He is the source of all this trouble. Did you think we would ignore such a slight?" "I'm hearing directly from you that some of your fellow hobgoblins have gone mad. Interesting. This is due to the ulvari? I think you are making assumptions about what happened at the Temple," you counter. "You are an idiot," he replies. "Iku Dai did cause all of this. Intentionally. What is important is removing the ulvari influence from the group in the Earth Den. Few of them are still in their right mind." You raise an eyebrow at him. "Do you think the villagers will accept this excuse of insanity? This recent offensive has them all thirsty for blood. Do you believe you can shift blame to the ulvari? I know they originate from the Temple of the Ancestors." He shakes his head. "You may know they exist, but apparently little else. Besides, the humans deserve what they get." You frown. "Your leader needs to maintain a hold on his people. And your heartless comments earn you no sympathy from me." "I don't know all the details," Lo Ke replies tersely. "In all honesty, I am far more concerned with making certain the Earth Den is not destroyed from the inside out. Once I do that, if the ulvari are still here, we will deal with finding out their origins. And putting a stop to them." You gesture at Lo Ke. "It is unacceptable for you to harm the humans of the Isle of Dawn in this process. You can do what you wish with the ulvarim but you will force a stop to the attacks." He snorts in contempt. "You are in no position to make demands of me. I hoped you would be more reasonable, outsider, but I can tell you are having trouble believing me." "You offer nothing in the way of proof, and have killed innocent people. Why should I trust you?" you ask. "All you have is the stories of the villagers. Why trust them? I won't bother to discuss Iku Dai, since I know he was an outsider as well." He folds his arms across his chest. You hold up a palm to him. "Iku Dai is not the subject of discussion right now. I am asking you to halt your attacks on the people here, and retreat to the Earth Den and stay there. In return, I promise the people of the Sun Village and Tentrees Farmstead will no longer attack you. I will make sure the ulvari are taken care of as well." "You think me green," he replies. "We will take care of this, and we will do it our way. The humans have brought these fiends to the land, and have brought ruin to the Isle of Dawn. There will be no quarter." You point at him. "Think about what you are doing. Be more reasonable. I believe you are making a terrible mistake." An arrow whistles through the air out of the bushes and strikes Lo Ke in the chest, causing the hobgoblins to fall to the ground in pain. Quest Completion Shui smiles kindly. "I already heard what happened. You did very well. The warriors that were with you have already informed me that Lo Ke managed to survive his wounds." Shui says, "If you'd be willing to try again, I think Lo Ke will be more compliant with our generous offers this time around. I will be here when you are ready, <Name>." He hands you some items. "Oh, and here is your pay. I did not forget."
