What do you want?” You say, “I am here to warn you that someone is out to kill you.” “Well,” says Razi Kordiyeh, chuckling, “I sort of always assume that many people are out to kill me. Comes with the territory.” “Yes, but hired assassins are on their way,” you say. “I spoke with one of them.” “You spoke with a hired assassin?” asks Razi, dubiously. “And they admitted to you their purpose?” “This one did,” you say. “She had a conflict of conscience.” “A conflict of conscience?” asks Razi. “I thought one of the prerequisites of the work was not having one.” You say, “Maybe no conscience then, but hatred of the woman who hired her apparently overrode her desire to carry out the contract.” “A woman, you say?” asks Razi. “Did she mention who?” “Only that your first guess would be the correct one,” you say. Razi frowns and says, “Giya. Trying again, are you?” He mutters. He glances at you saying, “Giya Kordiyeh is the current head of the Khal Kordiyeh’s, though she is not of our blood. “She was married to my brother, and when he died, she maintained control of the family’s assets,” he says. “As you can probably tell, I was not happy with that.” “Which is why you are all the way out here?” you ask. “My family, though not entirely happy about it, has been complacent about it,” explains Razi. “She is a clever and shrewd businesswoman, and has done much to increase our holdings.” “But?” you ask. “I assume there is a but, or you wouldn’t be here.” “But I am certain she is responsible for my brother’s death,” he says. “No one else will believe it, but I am certain.” “And my public accusations earned me my exile,” he mutters. “And the price she has put on my head.” Quest Completion Razi looks dark and says, “It is no secret that there is a hatred between Giya and I. But assassins? I thought better of her.” Razi glances at you and says, “I don’t know why you chose to help me, but thank you. This will not go unrewarded.”
