Fae Dust Hood

Defeat Gorgaloks within their home city itself. Gather 1 Gorgalok Linen Hood pattern, 2 Residual Chaos Energy, 1 Ichtakhta Chitin Fragment from any Ichtakhkta, and 2 Spore Beast Membrane from any Mnalus, and return them to Telnia.

Notes

The quest summary claims that the Spore Beast Membrane drops from any Mnalus, which is untrue. This item drops specifically from Spore Beasts. "After some research, I've found the ingredients necessary to making an enchanted hood, but I need items from the Gorgaloks, Ichtakhta, and Mnalus." "I'd like to try this recipe, but I don't have what I need here. Perhaps, if you would gather the components I need for me, I will fashion you a hood as a reward. The parts you need from the Gorgaloks, however, are only found on the ones inside the city itself, and might prove difficult to find. Good luck to you." The Hood The Gorgalok Linen Hood drops off of most three-dot and four-dot Gorgalok monsters. Basically, you want to stay on the ground and kill any three-dot or four-dot Gorgalok creature. The hood can also drop from the Bloodlurkers and Bloodlords, which are on the ramp up on the northern spire. Some of the easiest to kill are the Flamewardens, which are located in the Circle of Flame at 847, 7968, 7099. Flamewardens are sorceror-type mobs, so they are easy to burn down quickly. Residual Chaos Energy This item basically drops off of anything. As you hunt for the various pieces of armor, you should be able to get all of the chaos energy you need and then some. Ichtakhta Chitin Fragment This trophy can drop off of any Ichtakhta foe, including the easy two-dot mobs in the swamps below their city. If you have quarrying as one of your harvesting skills, you can also harvest the corpses of each Ichtakhta mob for another chance to get the chitin fragment. Just keep killing and you will eventually get it. Killing mass numbers of two-dots in this case will be faster, as the harder mobs don't appear to drop the trophy more frequently than the easier ones. Spore Beast Membrane The Spore Beast Membrane drops off of Spore Brute, Vicious Sporebeast, Infected Sporebeast, and Enraged Sporebeast. Spore Brutes can be found in the crevice that runs through the middle of the Lair of the Mnalus. You can either invis through the cave system or drop down from above. Note that you'll be kicked off your flying mount if you attempt to fly down into this canyon. Spore Brutes are easy three-dot mobs, but there are only two spawns for them, so it can take awhile to get the membranes by killing only these creatures. If you have a partner or a group, you can kill the four-dot sporebeasts that are located in an underwater cave system that you can enter from the pool of water (loc: 18915, -45060, 1200). The sporebeasts are located in a cave system on the other side of the underwater tunnel, so you will not need underwater breathing to fight them. Note that the four-dot sporebeasts can become furious. Once you have all the items, return to Telnia. "I have awaited your return with much eagerness. Did you find everything we need?" "Wonderful!"
