Magistrate Jadedragon feigns interest, prompting you to speak faster. You continue, "This angered the Sixfish family, and they sought the murderer. Their neighbors and close friends, the Seadragons, were dealing with a revelation of their own - Kung Seadragon had just returned home covered in blood and carrying a bloody fishing spear." "A scuffle arose, as members of the Sixfish family attempted to lay hands on Kung. Cooler heads prevailed, and a messenger was sent to the Magistracy to inform them of the murder. They also all agreed to bind Kung Seadragon until the Shotaru could come for him." Magistrate Jadedragon looks slightly more interested, and motions to continue. You warm to the subject further and say, "What happens next comes to me from conflicting reports. Apparently, both families experienced a drowsiness that washed over them. One by one they fell asleep. The last to fall asleep was Jao Sixfish." "When all awoke, Jao Sixifish stood over the body of Kung Seadragon. He held the same fishing spear that murdered his sister. All agree that his eyes were tightly shut, as if he were sleeping, when they came upon him." Magistrate Jadedragon asks, "Does Jao Sixfish deny murdering Kung Seadragon?" "No, Magistrate, but he claims the defense of revenge." The Magistrate asks, "Did he strike only one blow on Kung?" "No, Magistrate. The body was cut to pieces much like that of Siri Ke Sixfish." "Interesting," muses Magistrate Jadedragon, "Do these families seen [sic] inclined to passion? Do they follow the Way well?" "Magistrate, they seem like upstanding citizens. In fact, Kung was to marry Siri Ke. It does not follow that he would murder her so brutally. Further, all agree Jao is not a man inclined to great passion. It seems strange he would murder Kung in such a savage manner." You feel a probing within your skull, and the Magistrate says, "Interesting. Tell me of your theory as to why this murder happened." You speak through a sudden headache, "Magistrate Jadedragon, here is what happened. Both Kung and Jao murdered in their sleep. This was a dream murder - spoken of in legend and among us again."
