Treton Bilstro takes a puff on his pipe and arches an eyebrow in the direction of the Storehouse. "Sure, I miss havin' me mornin' muffins this last week but s'more than that. There's strange smokes comin' outta the ol' well at night and sometimes you can hear weird voices. Chantin', like. Something t'aint right in there. Those blasted brownies are up to something dark, mark me words."

Editor's Notes

Also known as "Redcap Storehouse". Possibly this was the beta name or a working title.

Rindol Storehouse is a solid entry in the low level dungeons. The quests are listed as Group in-game but are quite soloable as long as you stay on your toes. The back room on the lower level offers a challenge for small groups. The layout is consistently interesting with hordes of Redcaps scattered throughout and a few wanderers for some excitement. Several named mobs make an appearance but placeholders are common for them and some of them have varied spawn locations so you're never quite sure when and where you'll run into them.

The ambience of the dungeon is good, however, like many other dungeons, some of the more interesting rooms seem to have no associated quests or lore and raise more questions than they answer. What exactly is that evil tree thing the Redcaps seem to be worshipping?

The claim to fame of Rindol Storehouse is it's itemization. It has a truly massive loot table of uncommon and common items, many unique to the dungeon. Spending some time here will set low level characters on their way with a nice collection of Rindol gear.

The windmill atop the storehouse, while part of the same dungeon, has its own entrance and has no internal connection to the dungeon below.

Lore

This is where the Halflings of Rindol Field store their food in anticipation of winter being patched in. This is also where the Redcap brownies have discovered a great source of free food to allay any need for them to actually do any work themselves. The Halflings have a bit of an issue with this. It's the wee ones against the wee-er ones in the neverending battle for six square meals a day! It is perhaps odd that, though this was the storehouse for Rindol Field, none of the quests for it actually originate there.
