Jao angrily says, "I apologize, honored Juritor." Jao continues when you remain silent. "I am prepared to answer your questions, Juritor." You speak with confidence, "Jao did you kill Kung Seadragon?" Jao says, "I did Juritor, under the laws of revenge." You say, "I have not seen Kung's body, but I will accept this. You followed the laws of revenge, neh? So you struck only one blow?" Jao says, "No Juritor, I struck many blows. My sister Siri Ke was murdered by Kung, and he was... savage. I saw no need to give him a courteous funeral pyre." You say, "Then you defense of revenge will not apply here. One blow is all that is permitted in revenge. You will stand for murder." Jienu recollects, "No. Kung visited a dream reader of the Lotusfield House, as is customary for a man about to marry. He came back disturbed, but nothing was amiss." "I see," you say. "Thank you for your time." Kiri Seadragon "Kiri Seadragon, what can you tell me about the murder of Kung?" Kiri says, "Kung was my brother. He was a good man, eager to marry and start a family." You say, "I understand. I imagine you wish to see refvenge on Jao for killing your brother." Kiri speaks quietly, "Enough pain has come to us. Siri Ke, Kung, and now Jao will die for his crimes. The Sixfish and Seadragons are cursed families!" You speak with sympathy, "Kiri, there is no curse, at least, no reason for one, is there?" Kiri says, "It was a week ago that one of our small boats drifted far outside the barriers. Kung and Jao were on it, as well as my cousin Katoi." You nod for Kiri to continue. Kiri says, "Kung and Jao returned. They were to be brothers soon, so they spent much time together. Katoi was not on the boat. Neither could remember where he disappeared to." Kiri finishes, "It was finally decided that a fog had sprung up outside the barrier, and Katoi fell out of the boat. Jao and Kung felt guilty, but such things do happen, from time to time." Quest Completion Lan Cho says, "Jao claims Kung murdered Siri Ke and that he was merely exacting revenge." "This would be understandable, but the savagery of each murder belies the simple nature of this case." (continue) Lan Cho then continues, "Regardless, you must now arrest Jao Sixfish and prepare him for trial." "I warn you, both families are agitated and fighting can break out if you do not proceed with Harmonious Intent." "You must uphold the law, Juritor, but do not cause undue suffering while you do."
