Learning Sloop Construction

Requirements: Level 21 Carpenter, Apprentice Quest Completed, 500 Continental Artisan Faction

Starting NPC:

  • * Thestran - North of Tursh, follow road till split in road. Sign will say "Danger", go that way. There are currently no mobs. You'll continue along a road till you come to guard tower on a hillside over looking the ocean, cut back and go down to the shore. You'll find a small dock with the NPC there. There is a ship building station and an assembly table. There are no regular utilities sold here or regular stations. You'll have to run back up to Tursh to make the Planks and Spokes.
  • * Kojan – Tora Briarborn, Tawar Galan at the far east end of the beach out on a platform.
  • * Qalian – Khal, Telelyan Ahkdem, on east side of boat ramp.

Quest Details:

Bring your own mats.

  • * Qalia - 135 Dry Timber, 4 Iron Bindings, 5 Iron Fasteners
  • * Thestra -
  • * Kojan - 135 Dry Timber, 4 Iron Bindings, 5 Iron Fasteners

Note* You'll need 5 less Dry Timber on your 2nd and 3rd sloop quest as you won't have to do the Learning Spokes quest again.

o Kojan - Perun, 2nd floor of Hall of the Artisans in Ca'ial Brael

  • Starting NPC:
    • Thestran - Kelly Silver at the Silver Farm in the Shrine of Flame between New Targonor and Three Rivers. At loc 7860, -29540, 37970 in Shrine of the Flame, the road splits to the SE and there's a sign pointing to Keldorins Wall (it's not marked on the map). Follow that road SE and Kelly Silver can be found at the Silver farm, inside the house in the back (there are two there).
    • Kojan - Starting NPC: Perun, Location: Ca'ial Brael, Hall of the Artisans
    • Qalian - NPC Homayoon Ziya is at loc -27050, 45270, 504 at the small docks on the west shore, just south of Khal (outside the city).
  • Quest Details: Bring your own mats.
  • Reward: Recipes, 10,000 Crafting Exp for each
Learning Caravel Ropes, Rigging, and Sails
  • 2000 Continental Artisan Faction Required

  • Starting NPCs:
    • Thestran - Bubin Redstalk (Master Outfitter), in Fisher's Pen. A total of 43 Silkbloom bales are needed, but thankfully only 10 of those need to be refined into bolts.
    • Kojan - Konarthi point, in the building to the north
    • Qalian - Jharru Flats at the refugee camp outpost. The npc that gives it is named Sliv, he is in the tent with the outfitter and artificer tables.
  • Quest Details: Bring your own mats.
  • Reward: Recipes, 15,000 Crafting Exp
Learning Galleon Ropes, Rigging, and Sails
  • 5000 Continental Artisan Faction Required
  • Level 41 & Journeyman Quest Required
  • Starting NPCs:
    • Thestran - Sol Armos "Master Outfitter" behind the shipwright in NT docks.
    • Kojan - Ahgram, at the boat builder station
    • Qalian - Ahgram, just east of boat building station under a tent
  • Quest Details:
  • Make 3 ropes (9 vielthread bales total), 20k xp.
  • Make 2 riggings (24 vielthread bales total made into 8 ropes), 20k xp.
  • Make 2 sails (10 vielthreads bales total made into bolts), 20k xp

Blacksmith Only Boat Quests:

Learning Iron Bindings
  • 500 Continental Artisan Faction Required
  • Level 21 & Apprentice Quest Required
  • Starting NPC:
    • Kojan - Lakash Daykete in Ca'ial Brael
    • Qalian - Safashan Dalsary in Khal.
  • Quest Details: Regardless of who you go to to start the quest, the same actions are required. The quest NPC will give you a practice recipe, and you must create "Practice Iron Bindings" x3, and then speak to the quest NPC again.
  • Bring your own Iron Ore
  • NOTE: You only have to do this quest one time. The bindings are not continent specific. Once you have the faction on any continent you can do the quest on that continent. Those bindings are good for all types of boats/houses.
Learning (Continent) Sloop Mast Mounting
  • 500 Continental Artisan Faction Required
  • Level 21 & Apprentice Quest Required
  • Starting NPC:
    • Kojan - Lakash Daykete in Ca'ial Brael
    • Qalian - Safashan Dalsary in Khal.
  • Quest Details: The quest NPC will give you a "Practice (Continent) Sloop Mast Mount" recipe. Craft 2 of these items at Grade A, and turn them in to the same NPC.
  • Remember, the Mast Mount is Continental-Style-specific to the style of boat being made.
  • Bring your own Iron Ore
  • NOTE: Each Mast Mounting is continent specific. You will need the required faction for each continent you want to learn the recipe from. You do not have to redo the binding quest for each continent though, you only need to do it once, but you must do the Mast Mounting quest for each continent to get all three styles.
Learning Pyrite Bindings
  • 2000 Continental Artisan Faction Required
  • Level 31 & Initiate Quest Required
  • Starting NPCs:
    • Kojan - Na Ti in Deebs
    • Qalian - Parau Varsooth in Jharru Flats' Refugee Camp
  • Quest Details: Regardless of who you go to to start the quest, the same actions are required. The quest NPC will give you a practice recipe, and you must create "Practice Pyrite Bindings" x3, and then speak to the quest NPC again.
  • Bring your own Pyrite Ore, you will need at least 3.
  • Reward: Pyrite Bindings Recipe, 15,000 Crafting Exp
  • NOTE: You only have to do this quest one time. The bindings are not continent specific. Once you have the faction on any continent you can do the quest on that continent. Those bindings are good for all types of boats/houses.
Learning (Continent) Caravel Mast Mounting
  • 2000 Continental Artisan Faction Required
  • Level 31 & Initiate Quest Required

  • Quest Details: The quest NPC will give you a "Practice (Continent) Caravel Mast Mount" recipe. Craft 2 of these items at Grade A, and turn them in to the same NPC.

  • Bring your own Pyrite Ore, you will need 10 per continent.
  • Reward: (Continent) Caravel Mast Mounting Recipe, 15,000 Crafting Exp
  • NOTE: Each Mast Mounting is continent specific. You will need the required faction for each continent you want to learn the recipe from. You do not have to redo the binding quest for each continent though, you only need to do it once, but you must do the Mast Mounting quest for each continent to get all three styles.
Learning Mithril Bindings
  • Requirements: 5000 Continental Artisan Faction
  • Level 41 & Journeyman Quest Required

    • Thestran - Nighthunter Togra in New Targonor crafting area.
    • Kojan - Haag in Konarthi Point
    • Qalian - Master Blacksmith Hashi Yamna in the Ahgram Shipyard
  • Quest Details: Regardless of who you go to to start the quest, the same actions are required. The quest NPC will give you a practice recipe, and you must create "Practice Mithril Bindings" x3, and then speak to the quest NPC again.
  • Bring your own Mithril Ore
  • NOTE: You only have to do this quest one time. The bindings are not continent specific. Once you have the faction on any continent you can do the quest on that continent. Those bindings are good for all types of boats/houses.
