Eila's parents - alchemists themselves - feverishly worked to drive them out, venturing into the forest but returning only with haunted looks and increasingly erratic behavior. One day, her father claimed to have finally found the solution but convinced no one in his deteriorating mental state. Desperate to vanquish the deadly spirits, he madly constructed the weapon at home, accidentally triggering a magical explosion. Dozens of villagers died, including Eila's parents. Banished by angry survivors, she lived deep in the dangerous Youngtree Forest alone for years precariously studying the Oni spirits. Now, she must travel back to Caial Brael and convince the elves to help her craft the weapon - before the secret's price drives her to the same fate as her father.
